
Girl Scouts Names Winner of K12 “I Want to Rock the Mall” YouTube Contest
Dana Marie will perform for 200,000 at Girl Scouts Rock the Mall: 100th Anniversary Sing-Along
Girl Scouts announces the winner of the K12 and Girl Scouts I Want to Rock the Mall YouTube contest: Dana Marie Rogers, a Girl Scout Ambassador from Old Bridge, NJ. Dana wowed the judges with an original song, Girl Scout Cookie Rap, that landed her a spot on stage, June 9 at Girl Scouts Rock the Mall: 100th Anniversary Sing-Along.
Another star was born this week, when Cameron D. of Houston, Texas received the K12 Voter’s Choice Award for her original YouTube video, “Walk Together.” Cameron D. received the most video views and, along with bragging rights, won a NOOK Color™ e-book tablet and powerspeaK12 foreign language course. All entrants were encouraged to share their contest entry links with friends and family to increase their respective video views via email, Facebook and Twitter.

The nine runners up below will receive a commemorative Girl Scouts Rock the Mall: 100th Anniversary Sing-Along T-Shirt and will be recognized on June 9 at the event. They will each also receive one powerspeak12 foreign language course powered by K12.
