Interfaith Service
The Girl Scout community honors and respects all faith traditions. The Interfaith Service celebrates the rich faith traditions of our Girl Scout sisters.
How can I participate?
Due to popular demand, this event is "sold out."  However, there will be a "stand-by" line the day of the service to fill any "no-show" seats.  If you are unable to make it, everyone can participate in the service by submitting a My Promise, My Faith Prayer flag to be hung on the National Mall at Girl Scout's Rock the Mall. Download this flyer about prayer flags. In addition, there will be a live webcast on Saturday morning and we will have a link to a video of the service available starting May 2, 2012.

What are the event details?

The Interfaith Service will take place April 28, 2012, starting at 10:00 a.m. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. We ask that everyone be seated by 9:45 a.m.  Any seats that are not filled by 9:45 are subject to release. We encourage everyone attending to wear their Girl Scout uniform.  Participants in the service are required to wear their Girl Scout uniform.

The National Cathedral is the chosen location for this special event.  As a spiritual resource for our nation, the cathedral is a great and beautiful edifice in the city of Washington, and an indispensable ministry for people of all faiths and perspectives.

How can I honor my favorite Girl Scout?
You can give a gift in honor of a troop leader, Girl Scout, or volunteer through a philanthropic gift online. Please visit our donation website choose Interfaith where it says “I wish to give to,” and write the honorees name next to “In Honor / Memory of.”  All donations are tax deductable and support local Girl Scouts through the SHARE Annual Giving Campaign.  A list of those honored can be found here.
