Heartwarming and universal stories are told by girls, women and men throughout the greater Washington region and invite everyone to celebrate 100 years of success, leadership and service. These stories were collected to honor the history of Girl Scouting's past 100 years and to look forward to the next 100 more. Colleen Cibula, Chief Operating Officer of the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital, believes “everything that Girl Scouting stands for is brought to life through these narratives, discovering things we never knew about ourselves, connecting with others, and effecting change in our communities and in the world.”
Stories are released each week until June 2012, when over 200,000 Girl Scouts, friends and families are expected to converge on the National Mall for Girl Scouts Rock the Mall:100 Anniversary Sing Along.
