State Tax Exemption Certificates
District of Columbia: Washington, DC does not issue temporary Retail Sales and Use Tax certificate to entities that do not have a place of domicile in Washington, DC. We have been informed that all requests from Girl Scout Councils outside of Washington, DC will be declined.
Maryland and Virginia: Please complete the Registration application and forward to the State Tax Jurisdiction applicable: MD, VA. It should take about 90 days for the Registration Sales & Use application to be processed. For questions please contact Judean Code at jcode@gscnc.org.
